Website Hosting & Monitoring Service
If the client wants a new website hosting partner that will monitor their website and update it when needed then our website hosting and monitoring service is an option.
Here we will require:
- the URL to the admin login (i.e. if it is a WordPress website it will be something like: https://www.theirwebsite.co.uk/wp-admin )
- the username to login
- the password to login
- these details will need to have full admin user permissions
Some business owners have copies of these (if they actively login to their website to add blog posts, add images or edit text). In practice most business owners do not know use these details. Here they will need to get these details from their web developer.
At some point we may need cPanel server access details – but this is not always needed. Virtually no business owner has these details unless they are hosting their website themselves (which is very rare). Here these details would need to be obtained from their web developer.
We will need a list of their email addresses to setup on our server.
We will need registrar access for their domain name or at least get their web guy to update the nameserver their site once the site is ready to be moved.
NOTE: Most developers do not give their clients an individual cPanel for their website and in such cases they will not provide cPanel access as they have a budget price server with all their clients in one place.
If the website is a WordPress website we can get around this to a degree if they provide FTP details.

These hosting packages cost £120 per year (and a commission can be paid from this at £30)
